I’ve driven a tractor for eight hours a day. And presented at COP.
Most careers happen at one end of the supply chain. Mine has run the whole length of it. That’s the point.
I spent eight years in commercial horticulture, growing for a living on the supplier side of the audits, the specs and the one-sided asks. That experience is why my advice works. I know the gap between what a sustainability policy says and what happens in the field.
Courtney Holm — Founder, The Holm Edit
From the field to the top table.
Then I crossed the table. As Tesco’s client director at 2degrees, I ran the producer sustainability programme across a network of more than 10,000 growers, brought in as the independent when supplier relationships had broken. At Unilever I built the traceability technology behind the Sustainable Living Plan, reaching another 25,000 suppliers. At Capgemini Invent I built the sustainability practice from scratch as VP of Sustainable Futures, leading 23 experts and advising clients across food, technology, financial services and the public sector.
Twenty-seven years in sustainability, and I’ve never once written a sustainability report. I’ve always had a doing role. Building, delivering, repairing. Since 2024 that’s been through my own practice, working with Fairtrade International, Green Seal and clients across the chain. That’s the record The Holm Edit runs on.
Your problem is one I’ve already solved.
When the board asks what your supply chain emissions mean for raw-material costs, or what the new deforestation rules will actually cost you, you don’t need a framework. You need someone who has stood where the answer lives. The supplier maths, the grower psychology, the systems that make claims provable. I’ve worked every link you’re being asked about.
Read me, hear me, check the record.

If you want a greener-looking website, I’m the wrong call.
I don’t take greenwashing briefs, PR-only engagements, or work for boards that want the language of change without the change. If your board is genuinely committed to acting on what’s upstream, we’ll get on. If not, I’ll save us both the discovery call.
